I played in a tourney on UB tonight and busted in 177th. 613 started so it wasn't a complete failure. I had one hand that kinda made me mad but it shouldn't have. I had AK against 55. I had him covered so I called his all-in bet. I didn't get any help and was taken down to under 1k in chips. I managed to get back up over 2k and after the break I was doing well. The blinds were getting big and my stack was not growing. I had KQs and got called by a pair of 10s. I didn't get any help and I was done. I don't think I played badly or anything. I just didn't get much going all night.
After the tourney, I watched Rounders. I hadn't seen it in a while so I thought it would be a good thing to see it again. I really think it's a good poker movie. People talk about how it's not that great and that there are so many others out there. I agree but I think this one is pretty damn good, too. That is all for now.
I just thought of this quote from Doyle: "I decided life was too short to not do what you wanted. That's when I decided I was gonna do what I loved. That was play high-stakes poker."
